We had another lazy start to the day, we all met up for breakfast at about 9:15 (Dante andTessa were having their second breakfasts 🙂 ). We had another very leisurely breakfast. The serving staff seemed a bit under pressure this morning for some reason , and 1 or 2 of them weren’t coping very well. But as we left their smiles seemed to be breaking through again. (Maybe they were glad to see the back of us for the morning.)
Just as I was about to go to a meeting to get a briefing on the disembarkkation procedure I realised I had left my glasses down at breakfast. I quickly ran back down and found them where I had left them. All the staff seemed to know they were there, and were happy to see me pick them up, even the grumpy ones smiled and said hi! 🙂
Disembarkation, not rocket science. Just follow their directions and things should be sweet.
At 1pm Ben and I went down to the casino for the Texus Hold’em tournament. There were 10 players at the table with 1st and 2nd taking home the money. I came 6th, loosing an all-in hand to Ben. After 2hrs of very interesting banter and play, Ben eventually came out 2nd. The guy that won had wone the previous 3 tournaments. It was a fun afternoon.
After that I spent a bit of time at the gym the had a relaxing afternoon in our room with Deb, and Ella came for a visit, all by herself. 🙂 It’s really nice to have the little ones wanting to come and visit us.
It is our last formal night at dinner tonight, “Cruise Elegant”, so it should be pretty swish, and then Deb has palns for a late night at the Piano Bar. 🙂
The nght started witha visit to the Karaoke Room, and after a few stellar diva performances from the girls, big and small, we headed off to dinner.
Dinner was very good as usual. We have all been surprised by the quility of the food in the main dinning room. Tonight a lot of us had Frogs Legs followed by Chateaubriand, it was delicious.
After dinner we went to the Piano Bar for the family hour, then Dante, Tessa, Sophia, Ella and Ethan were taken back to their rooms to go to sleep.
Carly and Sarah were back pretty quickly. Ben stayed in his cabin to look after Sophia and it took Kieran a while to get Ethan settled and asleep.
It wasn’t long before Carly and Sarah were throwing song requests to Tim, the piano guy. Needless to say, it was a fun raucous night with lots of laughs and finished some time just after midnight. Luckily our clocks went back and hour to get back in sync with Sydney time.
